This is a complete VRML 2.0 world, and runs _only_ under a VRML 2.0 browser which supports Java behaviors like Sony's "Moving Worlds" compliant browser (beta version 2, which is also included on this CD). NOTICE: THIS IS PRE-RELEASE SOFTWARE. You can find a more up-to-date version at http://www.spiw.com/vs. HOW TO USE THE PLANETS WORLD ---------------------------- * Load Sony's VRML 2.0 browser, beta version 2. (This world revision is not guaranteed to work on any other version.) * Select the OPEN option from the FILE pulldown menu. Select the Planets directory and click on "main.wrl". * You'll find yourself among the planets and freely able to move about. There are several elements of interest in this world. This pre-release version includes these features: * The planets can be turned on by clicking on them. * If you can find the "comet", click on it and experience a guided tour of the solar system on top of the comet. * The orbits of the planets are astromically accurate. When you're finished using the world, your may close Sony's VRML 2.0 browser like you would any other Windows application.
